Brown sausage and bacon in a skillet until cooked and no pink remains. Remove to paper towel lined plate to drain. Combine water and chicken broth in a large dutch oven. Add sliced potatoes and onions and bring to a boil over medium heat for aprox. 15 minutes. Add in the minced garlic, cooked sausage and bacon, simmer for about 10 minutes. Lastly, add in cream, butter, and chopped kale. Season with salt and pepper to taste and simmer for another 10 minutes over med-low heat. Enjoy served with crusty bread!
