Servings
1 loaf
Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cups Warm Water
  • 2-1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cups All Purpose or Bread Flour *plus extra 1/2-1 cup if needed
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Pkg Rapid Rise Yeast *1 Pkg is 2-1/4 tsp or 1/4 oz
Servings: loaf
Instructions
  1. FOR BREAD MACHINE METHOD: Place ingredients in bread machine as recommended by manufacturer. Mine is wet ingredients first, then dry ingredients, and then make a small well in flour and add yeast to well. Set machine to dough setting. Add in extra flour if needed during mixing(my machine beeps to let me know when!)
  2. FOR STAND MIXER METHOD: In small bowl dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. In mixer bowl combine remaining 1 cup warm water, sugar, salt, oil, and 1-1/2 cups flour, mixing well. Next add the yeast mixture and remaining 1-1/2 cups flour. *If sticky add in an extra 1/2-1 cup of flour. Place dough in well oiled large bowl to rise for about an hour(until doubled in size).
  3. Remove bread from bread machine after dough cycle ends or large oiled bowl of dough after rising. Place dough on lightly floured counter or parchment paper sheet. Roll out dough to about a 9x12 rectangle. Roll up like a jelly roll(long side rolling). Pinch seams to seal along roll and pinch and tuck under both ends. Place on parchment lined baking sheet(cookie sheet) and using a sharp serrated(bread knife) score bread 4-5 times across the top. Let rise for about 30 minutes.
  4. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. (Opt'l)Brush with melted butter after baking. Served warm with soft butter and honey is fantastic. Enjoy!
