QUICK EASTER CHICK COOKIES

April 5, 2015 by Jacque Leave a Comment

Happy Easter Everyone!  Thought I would post these cute little Easter Chick Cookies that my daughter and I made today.   I had found the recipe on pinterest and thought they were so cute!  We were rushing to go out of town and these cookies were so quick to make and so delicious.  I do love an iced sugar cookie though.  I used prepared quick ingredients to make these to save oodles of time.  The original recipe called for homemade sugar cookies, so if you want to make them from scratch you can find the recipe for them here.

Have a wonderful holiday peeps…and of course…

Just Keep Cooking!  xo, Jacque

Ingredients
  • 16.5 oz pkg refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 16 oz carton yellow frosting
  • 1 tube black gel icing
  • 1 pkg Starburst mini's candy
Servings: Cookies
Instructions
  1. Slice and bake cookies as directed on package. Be sure when you slice them that they are round in shape. Cool cookies and then spread with yellow frosting.
  2. To Form Beaks: Separate out the Orange colored Starburst Mini's from the bag. Using a butter knife make a diagonal slice across the orange Starburst Mini(not all the way through) and press back to form a beak. Place in upper middle of cookie.
  3. For Eyes: Make two dots close together above the beak to form the eyes.
  4. Store in covered container at room temperature. Enjoy!
